Major in Plastic Art and Culture Education

The Major in Plastic Art and Culture Education at the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies aims to explore the convergent values of art and culture in a rapidly changing modern society, while deepening expertise in the field of plastic arts along with capabilities as an educator. This program fosters cultural and artistic education professionals equipped with critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills through a balanced curriculum of theory and practical training.

Students acquire a broad academic background in contemporary art theory, art criticism, art management, and cultural policy. Simultaneously, they engage in creative practices using various plastic media, such as Paper Glass Art, to establish their unique artistic world. In particular, emphasis is placed on acquiring art education methodologies and practical knowledge applicable to real educational settings. Furthermore, the program supports students in analyzing the interaction between art, technology, and society from multiple perspectives, and in strengthening their international perspectives and interdisciplinary research capabilities.
